I had the wonderful opportunity to see Sexyy Red on her Sexyy Red 4 President tour, and I honestly had so much fun. It was my first rap concert ever, and it was nothing like I had ever experienced before. As I was waiting to receive my credentials, I was watching wave after wave of girls walking into the venue, all smiles and dressed in outfits that allowed them to radiate confidence. I found myself constantly in awe of everyone walking into the venue, a hum of anticipation in the air.

Once I finally made it inside, the first act, Blakeiana, was about to take the stage, followed by Loe Shimmy and Hunxho. As the show started, I saw women singing to each other and with others they met that night, dancing with smiles as far as the eye could see. I could feel the sound waves washing over me and the bass in my feet as we embarked on an unforgettable Sexxy Red journey. Sexyy Red stuck true to her “campaign” with her set adorned with American and “Sexyy Red 4 President” flags, decked out in red, white, and blue in an all-new way. It felt like I was at a club because there were so many DJs.  I feel that the DJs, in combination with the openers, really kept the audience going and excited. While I am usually not a big fan of DJs, I enjoyed what they brought to the show as a whole; however, by the time it was time for Sexyy Red and Kodak Black to come on stage, the DJ intermissions felt excessive, the crowd was ready to see their favorites! Luckily, they didn’t keep us waiting too long. Sexyy Red sang popular favorites, including “Shake Yo Dreads” and “I Don’t Wanna Be Saved.” Kodak Black entered the stage, brushing his teeth and getting right into his songs. It was an interesting start that I found myself smiling at. Kodak Black had everyone excited, including Sexyy Red. She would come out from the side of the stage to join him and dance. It was super fun to watch them together in between his songs.

Sexyy Red fosters an environment for the girls. We were encouraged to dance and celebrate being at the show with our best friends. Sexyy Red ended her show with “Looking for the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault).” It was so exciting to see all the energy in the crowd grow for the last time and keep the buzz of a concert going even on the drive home. Overall, Sexyy Red’s performance was fun and allowed fans to sing and dance along with her. The concert was filled with girls screaming, laughing and dancing and I couldn’t get enough of the energy.
